In his brief remarks at the event, AbdulRazaq described Prince Fagbemi as a successful legal luminary and a pride of Kwara, who is renowned for his community service and philanthropy.
He commended the Minister for his good character and encouraged him to sustain his selfless services to the growth of his state and the country at large.
“I want you to continue the good you have been doing, especially your commitment and love for community development and the country at large. When you built a facility in a community school recently, you didn’t do it because of any position. You did it out of your passion for community development,” the Governor said.
“As a government, we acknowledge that the Honourable Minister has always been there for us even before his appointment, and I want him to sustain the same and even do more. I wish him success in the tasks ahead.”
Fagbemi, for his part, thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for finding him worthy to serve in that capacity, and pledged not to let him and Nigerians down.
He appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the President and to trust his capacity to reform the economy for sustainable growth.
The Minister acknowledged the leading role and support of the Governor that culminated into his successful pick, particularly during his screening at the Red Chamber.
He also thanked the Senate, including the Kwara legislators, for the support accorded him at his screening.
