The Federal Government has reduced the cost of kidney dialysis in federal hospitals from ₦50,000 to ₦12,000, following President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s approval of a 76 per cent subsidy.

The announcement was made on Monday by the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Information, Daniel Bwala, who disclosed the development through his official X handle. He said the measure had already taken effect in medical facilities across the country.

“These subsidies are now operational in federal medical centres and teaching hospitals in all geopolitical zones,” Bwala stated. “More hospitals will be included before the year ends.”

Below is the list of federal hospitals where the reduced dialysis rate is currently available:

Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Ebute-Metta, Lagos
