The former First Lady of Oyo State, Florence Ajimobi has released a deeply emotional tribute in honour of her late daughter, Abisola Kola-Daisi, who passed away on 27 March 2025.

Abisola, fondly called Bizlow and Abi-KD, was described by her mother as the “fashionista of the family” and a woman whose life radiated love, compassion, grace, and purpose. Born on 12 March 1981, she lived 44 years marked by what her mother called “light, generosity, and an extraordinary capacity to touch lives.”

In the tribute, Florence Ajimobi wrote that her heart remains “both broken and full”, broken by the loss of her first child, but full of gratitude for the love and memories Abisola embodied.

She recounted her daughter’s vibrant personality from childhood to adulthood, describing her as a gift “wrapped in joy, laughter, curiosity, and grace.” She noted that Abisola had a special way of elevating ordinary moments through her warmth and sincerity.

The former First Lady emphasized the privilege of motherhood, saying Abisola taught her the depth of unconditional love and the strength found in quiet moments. Though her daughter’s life ended too soon, she said the impact of her journey remains eternal.

Florence Ajimobi also reflected on Abisola’s growth into a woman “rooted in love, faith, and family,” who eventually “found her wings” and stepped fully into the person God created her to be brilliant, compassionate, courageous, and selfless.

Drawing on scriptural references from Genesis 2:24, 2 Timothy 4:7, and Psalm 46:10, she expressed faith in the promise of eternal reunion and submitted fully to God’s will. She described her daughter’s essence as one that continues to live on “in every memory, every smile, and every quiet moment of grace.”

In concluding her tribute, she wrote:

“Rest peacefully in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ, my precious first fruit. You flew with grace. You lived with purpose. And you were, and forever will be, deeply loved.”

The tribute stands as a heartfelt remembrance of a daughter, wife, and family treasure whose life left an indelible mark on all who knew her.
