
First Lady Urges Nigerians to Embrace Renewable Energy
The First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, has called on Nigerians to embrace renewable energy and sustainable technologies as a critical step toward environmental protection and healthy living.
In a message obtained by OYO NEWS to commemorate the 2026 International Day of Clean Energy, marked on January 26, the First Lady noted that the global observance, themed “Clean Energy for People and Planet,” serves as a reminder of the collective responsibility to protect and preserve the environment.
According to her, the adoption of clean and renewable energy sources is no longer optional but essential for human survival, public health, and sustainable development.
Senator Tinubu urged individuals, communities, and institutions to work together in promoting environmentally friendly practices that will ensure a greener and healthier planet for present and future generations.
She concluded by wishing Nigerians and the global community a happy International Day of Clean Energy 2026.
