First Lady Mourns Sen. Diket Plang’s Wife

The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Remi Tinubu, has expressed profound sadness and shock over the sudden death of Mrs. Diket Plang, wife of the Senator representing Plateau Central Senatorial district, Diket Plang.

In a heartfelt condolence message, obtained by OYO NEWS the First Lady offered her sympathies to the bereaved family, and the government of Plateau State.

“It is with a sense of sorrow that I extend my heartfelt condolences to the Governor of Plateau State, HE Barr. Caleb Mutfwang and Senator Diket Plang of Plateau Central Senatorial District on the passing of his dear wife, late Mrs. Diket Plang”, she wrote.

“I also extend my condolences to his family, wives of other Distinguished Senators and her loved ones.

At this difficult time, I pray that the Almighty God grants Your Excellency, her husband, Senator Diket Plang, the children and family the fortitude to bear this painful loss.”

“May her gentle soul rest in perfect peace and may God comfort you all.”

Until her death, she was a Professor of Gender Studies and Gerontology and first female Head of Department of Sociology at the University of Jos.
