
First Lady Mourns Former President Buhari, Awujale
First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu has said former President Muhammadu Buhari dedicated his life to the service of the Country.
This is contained in a condolence message signed by the wife of the President on Sunday.
Senator Oluremi Tinubu said she received the news with deep sadness, adding that the former President served Nigeria with unwavering commitment, integrity, and a deep love for his people.
“Our nation has lost a great leader who dedicated his life to the service of our beloved country”, she said.
“President Buhari served Nigeria with unwavering commitment, integrity, and a deep love for his people.”
She said Buhari was a man of immense courage, conviction, and a tireless advocate for justice and good governance.
She added, “I recall his dedication to the common good, and his unwavering belief in the potential of every Nigerian.”
She consoled his wife, Aisha Buhari, his children, grandchildren and the entire family, saying, “May you find solace in the outpouring of love and support from a grateful nation. Please know that your grief is shared by all of us.”
“May Almighty Allah grant former President Muhammadu Buhari Aljanah Fridaus and comfort his wife ,family and all Nigerians.”
In a related development, the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu commiserated with the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, the Oloris, children, grandchildren, family and the entire people of Ijebu Land on the transitioning of the Awujale of Ijebu Land Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.
She said Oba Adetona was a great monarch whose wisdom, dignity, and dedication to his people and the rich heritage of the Ijebu Kingdom will be etched on the annals of history.
Tinubu said the late Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona stood as a symbol of tradition, stability, and progress.
“His 65 years reign was a testament to his visionary leadership, marked by an astute understanding of his people’s needs and commitment to their well-being.”
“He was a bridge between generations, embracing tradition with progressive thinking for the development of his people.”
“To his beloved Oloris, the princes and princesses, the entire Royal Family, the Council of Chiefs, and indeed all the sons and daughters of Ijebu land, I extend my deepest and heartfelt condolences.”
“As a daughter of the land, I feel your grief and it is shared by all Nigerians who revered and respected our beloved Awujale.”
