Family, friends and colleagues of late Comedian, Owomoyela Tobi Nifemi on Thursday gathered together at a night of tributes in honour of the media personality.
The event was held at the Mauve 21 Event centre, Ibadan, where everyone eulogized the super-star Mcee.
The event which was anchored by his colleagues, Rotimi Johnson and Egbeleke Ademola Owolabi, (Demo-Pumpin) had in attendance the Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Seun Fakorede; Ibadan-based Radiopreneur, Yinka Ayefele; Bolaji Olanrewaju a.k.a Big-B, Fagade Olufemi Ademola also known as Omo-Baba.
Also in attendance were some of his colleagues including Social Democratic Party Candidate, Akinsete Kunle (Shete), Baba Alariya, Rappin Daddy, Woli Agba, Lepacious Bose, Woli Arole, Eteye, Kenny-Blaq, Rappin Daddy, 13th Disciple amongst other dignitaries.
They all described Owomoyela Nifemi Tobi, as a selfless man, who left a mark in thr Ibadan-Entertainment industry.
Soeaking on behalf of the Oyo State Government, Seun Fakorede condoled with his family and friends, praying for the repose of his soul.
In his sermon, Rev. Gboyega Adeyefa admonished everyone to reflect on the good deeds of the late comedian and how he positively influenced all being around him.
Adeyefa prayed for the sweet repose of Owomoyela, calling on all to put his family members in prayers.
Speaking at the event, Big-Bolaji described him as a good man, with great impact.
Mr. Olanrewaju said he will continue to celebrate Peteru and all that he has left behind.
Bose Ogunboye, also known as Lepacious Bose said, while reflecting on Nifemi’s beautiful heart, said she would miss his beautiful heart.
“He carried love. You just can’t be angry with him. Such a beautiful life should not be cut short so soon. Make your life count, just like his”, she said in an emotional laden voice.
Yinka Ayefele said Peteru lived a short but impactful life.
“We will miss Peteru, who left us soon. He left indelible mark in our lives”, he said.
His remains has been committed to mother earth at a private ceremony witnessed by close relations and friends.
