The Oyo State Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal has charged the people of the state to imbibe the spirit of Ramadan that teaches love, perseverance, peace and justice.
The Deputy Governor, who led the state delegation to Agodi Eid Praying Ground, gave the charge while addressing journalists after observing two rakats of Eid lifitri (Eid Prayer) supplication.
Barrister Bayo Lawal, who attended the prayer for the first time as the Deputy Governor of Oyo state, admonished the people of the state to imbibe the virtues of Holy Prophet Muhammed.
He added that they should keep supporting and encouraging the present administration to deliver more dividends of democracy in Omititun 2.0.
Bayo Lawal also appreciated the citizens of Oyo state for voting massively for Governor Seyi Makinde during the last election.
The state government delegation on Friday, joined other Muslims in the state to observe the two rakat Eid lifitri, led by the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheikh Abdul-Ganniy Agbotomokekere.
