Easter: First Lady Oluremi Tinubu Urges Compassion, National Unity
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has called on Nigerians to embrace love, sacrifice, and compassion as they celebrate Easter, highlighting the significance of the season as a symbol of hope and renewal.
In her Easter message for 2026 titled “The Blessed Hope in Christ’s Resurrection,” the First Lady described the occasion as a reminder of the enduring power of love and the selfless sacrifice of Jesus Christ, whose resurrection brings hope to humanity.
She urged citizens to use the period to show kindness to those in need, encouraging acts of compassion within families, communities, and across the nation.
“As we celebrate with our loved ones, friends, neighbours and communities, let us remember those in need and extend compassion and support wherever we can,” she stated.
The First Lady further called on Nigerians to be inspired by the spirit of Easter to uplift the vulnerable, promote unity, and make necessary sacrifices for the collective good.
She emphasized the need for citizens to work together in building a peaceful and prosperous nation.
Mrs. Tinubu concluded her message by wishing Nigerians a joyful Easter celebration.
