President Bola Tinubu has said that the late business mogul, Alhaji Aminu Dantata, devoted his wealth to the greater good of Nigeria through numerous humanitarian gestures to the less privileged.

Describing the generosity of the late philanthropist, President Tinubu assumed that if acts of humanity could be extended to the great beyond, the late Dantata would not hesitate to continue putting smiles on the faces of the needy.

Tinubu paid a glowing tribute to the late Dantata on Friday during a condolence visit to the Koki quarters family house of the business mogul in Kano.

Tinubu, who was in Kano for the first time, after assuming power in 2023, explained his physical presence is a personal commitment to a man he described as having immense personality, honesty, integrity, and philanthropy, commitment to humanity in every aspect of the world.

“Here is a man of immense personality, honesty, integrity, and philanthropy, commitment to humanity in every aspect of the world.

“If they do friendship and they do contact over and beyond in the other world, a larger Dantata will be in a marketplace distributing food to the hungry and giving the sick happiness.

He’s so generous, so good, so committed to the great value of our country. He’s a great man. I miss him, he’s very close to my family, and I came here to seek his prayer before the election. He gave me that prayer,” Tinubu said.

Responding, the eldest son of the late Dantata, Alh. Tajudeen Dantata, said the President has demonstrated genuine friendship to the late Dantata, even in his demise. He added that the family would remain grateful to Tinubu.

The Dantata junior acknowledged the cordial relationship between the family and Tinubu even before he emerged as President, noting that his (Tinubu’s) condolence visit further proves that the nation mourns late Dantata.

Earlier, President Tinubu, accompanied by the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, and the Deputy Senate President, Jibril I. Barau, was received by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano.

Also on the ground to receive the President were the Governor of Jigawa State, Umar Namadi; Minister of Defence State, Abubakar Badaru; Minister of FCT State, Dr. Mariya Muhmud Bunkure; Minister of Housing State, Yusuf Abdullahi Ata; Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Abdussalam Aminu; Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Ismail Jibril Falgore; and the Secretary to Kano State Government, Umar Faruq Ibrahim.
