The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya, on Sunday gifted a former carpenter for the Ni- gerian Army, Adisa Babalola Rasaq, a one-bedroom bungalow.
The reward, according to the Army Chief, was in line with the spirit of Nigerian Army Day Celebration, and a part of the Army’s corporate social responsibility, which is focused on improving civil- military relationship.
The bungalow gifted to Rasaq is situated at the 2nd phase Post Housing Devel- opment Ltd, Eleyele, Ibadan, BBC News pidgin reported.
Performing the handing over on behalf of the Chief of Army Staff, the General Officer Commanding 2 Divi sion NA, Major-General Gold Chibuisi thanked the COAS for the good gesture and congratulated Rasaq for his contributions to the army.
Mr Adisa Babalola Rasaq hails from Odeda town, Odeda Local Govt Area of Ogun State, and served in the Supply and Transport de partment where he worked as a civilian staff.
He worked with the Nige rian Army Supply and Trans port Unit, Eleyele, Ibadan, from 1957 to 1995.
Chibuisi, in his remark also prayed to God to provide him with good health to live in the house.
