President Muhammadu Buhari has extended his warm felicitations to Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State on his emergence as the new Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF).

The President equally congratulated Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who emerged Vice Chairman of the forum.

The President urged the duo to give their best in providing leadership, in the country.

The President rejoiced with governors for the maturity and stability of the NGF over the years, especially in electing new leaders.

He applauded Governors’ Forum for the significant role it plays in stimulating discussions on development, promoting democracy, and counseling political leaders on service to the nation.

President Buhari in a statement signed by Femi Adesina said he believes the Governor of Kwara State will further improve relations, tighten policy issues, and provide more opportunities for growth among states, and the Federal Government, considering his antecedents in business and government.

The President wished AbdulRazaq and other excos of the Forum, the very best on the new assignment.

OYO NEWS reported that the Governor’s of Kwara and Oyo State were elected as Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum during the week.
