Oyo State Government has promised that it will do everything within its capacity to ensure BCOS Television commences transmission soon.

The State Deputy Governor, Barrister Bayo Lawal stated this during an assessment tour of the inferno that gutted the studios of the Corporation of Wednesday.

According to the Deputy Governor, the government will work closely with the BCOS management to ensure necessary support is given to the Corporation.

The government of Oyo state also appreciated the management of BCOS led by Prince Dotun Oyelade as well as Fire Services for their prompt response to curtail the inferno from destroying the entire broadcasting complex.

While welcoming the Deputy Governor and his entourage the Executive Chairman of BCOS, Prince Dotun Oyelade said the Engineering Department of the Corporation has made arrangements for temporary transmission of the radio station, adding that an assessment report will be presented to the state government for immediate intervention.

He attributed the cause of the inferno to the irregular power supply brought by IBDEC to the station twice.

On the entourage of the Deputy Governor included the Commissioner for Trade, Investment and Cooperatives, Chief Bayo Lawal,his Special Duties counterpart, Alhaja Fausat Saani and other top government functionaries.

Recall that some parts of the Corporation was gutted by fire on Wednesday Afternoon.
