
Bago donates rice, cows to boost corps members’ feeding in Niger
Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, has donated 100 bags of rice and 10 cows to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members in the state to augment their feeding at the orientation camp.
The items were received by the State Coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Martina Shuaibu-Ibrahim, at the permanent orientation camp in Paiko, Paikoro Local Council.
Shuaibu-Ibrahim commended the governor for the gesture and his consistent commitment to the welfare of corps members in the state, noting that the support would go a long way in helping them settle down and render quality service.
Corps members and camp officials also expressed gratitude for the donation.
In 2024, Governor Bago donated 600 bags of rice and 20 cows to corps members in the state, in addition to approving the payment of ₦200,000 each to 1,600 members of the 2024 Batch B, Stream 1.
