Arsenal has been crowned FA Cup winners once again, as they beat Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley.

Arsenal and Chelsea headed to Wembley yesterday afternoon to battle to lift the famous trophy, although the final was played in an unexpected situation.

The Coronavirus pandemic meant that no fans was permitted inside of the stadium for the final domestic game of the extended campaign.

Both London clubs returned to Wembley after successful semi-finals, Arsenal beating current holders Manchester City 2-0, while Chelsea came out as 3-1 winners against in form Manchester United.

The Gunners and Blues both ended their Premier League season in a positive way too, with Mikel Arteta’s men recording a 3-2 win over Watford and Chelsea beating Wolves 2-0 in order to confirm their place in the Champions League next season.

The last game between the pair ended in a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge, and it was a game in which former Blues’ defender David Luiz was shown red in the first-half.

Two late goals from Cesar Azpilicueta and Hector Bellerin ensured a dramatic ending to the game, with on lookers hoping for a game just as entertaining this afternoon.

After the whistle was blown, Arsenal won the FA Cup for the 14th time. Arsenal’s Aubameyang gave a finish with a second goal at the 67th minute. He gave the finishing from a not particularly inviting angle.
Earlier in the 5th minute, Chelsea’s Christian Pulisic scored the opening goal, after which Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a Penalty kick at the 28th minute.

A win over Chelsea for Arsenal grabbed them a place in the Europa League next season, which may have served as extra motivation for the Gunners.
