The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has provided solar street lights to residents of Yejide community in Ibadan South East Local Government area.

Arapaja made this known in a release issued by his Personal Assistant, Bamitale Ibrahim and made available to newsmen In Ibadan.

The statement said Ambassador Arapaja personally funded the project in order to compliment the efforts of the Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde led administration in lighting up the state.

Ambassador Arapaja stated that the project would go a long way in curbing the menace of insecurity in Yejide community, especially at night “because some of these marauders mostly perpetrate their criminal activities at night under the cover of darkness”.

While calling on other well meaning individuals not to shy away from contributing their own quotas to the development of the State, Ambassador Arapaja, however, implored residents of the community to guard the project from being vandalized or stolen.
