Some elders of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday paid Sallah homage to Governor Seyi Makinde in his Ibadan residence.
The team was led by PDP Deputy National Chairman, Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, who was accompanied by top political gladiators in the state.
Moslems in Oyo state usually pay the traditional sallah homage on Governor Makinde in Ibadan. The homage is always paid by Islamic faithfuls during their religious festivals.
Governor Makinde called on all the people of Oyo state to be united against the forces of evil and support government efforts at developing the state.
Also on the entourage was the Deputy Director General, Seyi Makinde Campaign Council, Dr. Nureni Aderemi Adeniran; Deputy Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Muhammed Fadeyi; Member representing Ibadan South East and South West Federal Constituencies, Rt.Hon Abbas Adigun Agboworin.
Others were Director General, Seyi Makinde Campaign Organisation, Chief Bayo Lawal; PDP State Secretary, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke; PDP State PRO, Engr Akeem Olatunji; and PDP State Women Leader, Alhaja Wulemat Ibitoye, among others.
Makinde, said it was a pleasure to welcome some Muslim brothers and sisters at his home in Ibadan for the Eid al-Adha celebration.
He wished everyone a lovely time with family and friends this festive period.
