The 40th day Fidau Prayers for the late Senator Abiola Ajimobi, would hold on Thursday. 

A statement signed by Bolaji Tunji, Press Secretary to the late Ajimobi, indicated that the event would strictly be a family affair, in compliance with the COVID-19 protocols as laid down by the National Centre for Disease Control.
 
The Islamic prayers is scheduled to start by 11am, at the Yemoja Street, Oluyole Estate residence of the deceased in Ibadan, Oyo State.

It read, “In line with COViD-19 protocols as laid down by NCDC, the event will strictly be a family affair”.

“However, there will be a live coverage of the event on the National Television Authority from 11am onwards. Please note, the event will also be streamed.”

Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Sheik Ajigbotomokekere, and a renowned Islamic cleric, Alhaji Muyideen Bello, are expected to lead the prayers. 

The former Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi, was until his death, on June 25, the acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.
