One of the Air peace’s oldest pilots, Capt. Horace Millar-Jaja, has officially retired after 40 years of service.
Capt Millar-Jaja undertook his final flight from Portharcourt, Nigeria to Lagos yesterday. He retires with a record of flying for more than 21,600 hours.
Capt. Millar-Jaja started his aviation career in 1983 and has been a Captain since 1991 flying mostly the Boeing family.
According to reports, he was the first Nigerian pilot to fly an Airbus A340-500 aircraft.
Speaking to coming generation of Pilots, Capt Millar-Jaja enjoined them to stick to the rules and regulations that guards the noble profession.
The elated Pilot added that sticking to the procedures, carried him through the 40 years of his career without any casualty.
In honour of his retirement, his flight got a farewell water salute while staff members of Air Peace & passengers showed him love.
He has worked with different world class airlines and has been a force to reckon with in the Aviation industry in Nigeria.
