Activist Adeyanju has advised the Nigerian Government to stop buying cars annually for Government Officials.
The Activist further noted that Governments at all tiers are too broke to meet the necessary financial needs of the country.
This advise is coming on the heels of Nigerian Government’s inability to settle the demands of ASUU, which has left so many students to suffer the ongoing ASUU strike that has lingered for more than six months.
Deji said, “We are too broke as a nation to be buying cars every year for Govt officials. My stand for many years is that we must stop wasting public funds every year on buying cars for politicians and civil servants. The only ministries that need vehicles are, Police, Military, Works and Health, etc who need ambulances. Those who can’t drive their own cars to work should resign.”
