The Kwara State Government has notified the general public of the immediate closure of Post Office-Emir’s Road from Tuesday 15th October 2024 to allow for its rehabilitation and upgrade as part of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s ongoing urban renewal projects.

The effort is aimed at improving road networks and boosting economic growth across the State.

A statement from the Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engineer Abdulquawiy Olododo, urged road users to make use of alternative routes during the period of rehabilitation. He assured the public that the closure has been carefully planned to prioritize the safety of residents and ensure smoother travel conditions in the long run.

Motorists coming from Maraba are advised to use the Post Office Flyover, while those from Offa Garage should take Zulu Gambari Road. Similarly, road users approaching from Taiwo Road are encouraged to use Wahab Folawiyo Unity Road to reach their destinations.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and seek the cooperation of the general public during this period,” the statement added.

Motorists are advised to adhere to traffic directives and exercise caution while navigating the area.
